14-man St Jude's hung on to upset the odds against Kilmacud Crokes in a pulsating Dublin SFC quarter-final clash at Parnell Park tonight.

The Templeogue men triumphed over a fancied Crokes side on a 0-14 to 1-8 scoreline to join Castleknock in the last four next week.

Under the guidance of Padraic Monaghan, Jude's were full value for their 0-9 to 0-4 half time lead with inspiring county man Kevin McManamon on target twice.

Crokes, who knocked out reigning All-Ireland champions Ballyboden St Enda's in the last round, started without key duo Cian O'Sullivan and Pat Burke.

With 15 minutes to go and trailing by 0-11 to 0-5, Crokes were handed a lifeline when substitute Burke found the net, however, Jude's soon regained control thanks to an Niall Coakley effort.

Despite having forward Ross O'Brien sent off for a straight red card offence in the latter stages, Jude's managed to close out the game with further scores from Coakley and McManamon.

Ballymun Kickhams face Raheny (18:45) and Lucan Sarsfields meet St Vincents (20:15) at the same venue tomorrow for the two remaining semi-final places.
