Carbery Rangers are in celebratory mode following their 1-15 to 1-12 victory over Ballincollig in Pairc Ui Rinn today.

Played in front of attendance of approximately 8,000, Chris O'Donovan's 39th minute goal laid the foundations for their three point victory.

That goal was augmented by a brace of John O'Rourke points and it left Ballincollig facing an uphill battle.

The winners shaded a closely contested first-half by 0-8 to 0-7 and proceeded to gain revenge for their 2014 final defeat at the hands of Ballincollig.

Centre-forward O'Rourke put in a 'man-of-the-match' performance and finished with five points from play to his name.
