Clare's Tony Kelly has played on the biggest stage in hurling, but even he admits lining out with the club in a county final is something special.
Kelly won an All-Ireland SHC title with Clare in 2013 as well as being involved in some classics in all the major grounds around the country including Semple Stadium.
However, on Sunday, he will be part of the Ballyea side that take on Clonlara in the Clare SHC final.
And he stated to the Clare Champion that lining out with guys he grew up with is something different.
"Getting to a county final with your own club is special," said Kelly. "You start off at U-8 with your club and the pinnacle of your club career is a senior county final, playing with lads you went to school with, which is that bit special.
"There are seven or eight that have played on the same team all the way up along and that adds a bit of uniqueness to the whole thing.
"There is great excitement now throughout the whole parish. These opportunities don't come around that often for a club like Ballyea, it's just a special feeling for the last few weeks and we will enjoy it to the best of our ability."
