Longford CCC has ordered a replay of last Sunday's controversial county SFC clash between Longford Slashers and Killoe Emmet Og after the latter had 16 players on the pitch when they scored a late winning point.

Slashers lodged an objection to the result after it emerged that Denis McGoldrick, who was replaced by Ryan Moffett, was still on the field when Sean McCormack scored a last-minute point to give the Sean Connolly Cup holders a 1-9 to 2-5 victory.

The replay of the second round tie has been fixed for next Tuesday evening, August 16. In the meantime, the final round of Group 1 games involving the two clubs (Killoe v St. Mary's, Granard and Slashers v Clonguish) which were scheduled for tomorrow evening have been postponed.
