Waterford manager Derek McGrath stressed that his side are by no means deflated ahead of Saturday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final replay.

Kilkenny came from behind to grab a draw at the death of their clash last weekend and the Cats were certainly the happier and more relieved at the final whistle.

Many believe that the Deise may struggle to replicate last weekend's performance, but McGrath stressed to the Waterford News & Star that they gained a lot of confidence from the drawn game.

"I think the lads will take great confidence out of it. I think the people of Waterford will take great confidence out of the way the lads just gave everything they had too and that's the most heartening thing from my point of view," said McGrath.

Waterford and Kilkenny do battle again in Semple Stadium on Saturday evening at 6.45pm.
