Richie Hogan returns to the Kilkenny starting fifteen ahead of Sunday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final clash with Waterford at Croke Park.
The 2014 Hurler of the Year comes in at left corner-forward after making his comeback from a broken hand as a half-time substitute in the Leinster final defeat of Galway.
Team-captain Shane Prendergast is also back for Brian Cody's charges having missed the Cats' championship campaign so far through injury, while John Power starts at left half-forward.
There are three changes in personnel from last month's provincial decider with Robert Lennon, Lester Ryan and Eoin Larkin dropping to the bench.
