It's football team of the week time and the exploits of the Tipperary and Clare footballers take centre stage...

1. Evan Comerford (Tipperary)

Enhanced his reputation as one of the best goalkeepers in the business and his kick-outs laid the foundations for the Premier's success.

2. Shane Hickey (Clare)

The Banner County full-back line trio deserve all the plaudits that have come their way following their impressive showing against the Rossies.

3. Kevin Harnett (Clare)

Harnett and his defensive colleagues restricted their Division 1 opponents just three points from play during the course of the 70 minutes.

4. Martin McMahon (Clare)

McMahon & Co will renew acquaintances with Kerry in the last eight of the Sam Maguire Cup race.

5. Bill Maher (Tipperary)

Got on the scoresheet with a point as Liam Kearns' charges came away from Kingspan Breffni Park with a minimum margin victory over the Oak Leafers.

6. Gordon Kelly (Clare)

The Banner County's centre-back turned 33 yesterday and he had extra cause for celebration following their Pearse Stadium heroics.

7. Ciaran McFaul (Derry)

McFaul can be absolved of any blame for Derry's defeat as he worked tirelessly throughout the 70 minutes against Tipperary.

8. Peter Acheson (Tipperary)

The Premier County ace continued his fine form this season with another all-action performance in their engine room.

9. Gary Brennan (Clare)

The Banner County captain did his All-Star chances no harm at all with another five star display around the middle third of the field.

10. Josh Keane (Tipperary)

The half-forward's direct running caused plenty of problems for the Derry rearguard and he contributed two points to his side's cause.

11. Jamie Malone (Clare)

Malone's first-half goal helped send Clare on the road to a memorable victory over the primrose and blues.

12. Danny Heavron (Derry)

Kicked four points from play in an enterprising display but will have been disappointed to have finished up on the wrong end of the scoreline.

13. Eoin Cleary (Clare)

Raised six white flags (including three from play) as Clare sent Roscommon packing on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-9.

14. Michael Quinlivan (Tipperary)

Tipp's top scorer with 0-7 (five frees), he also made a telling impact when moved out to midfield in the second-half.

15. Conor Sweeney (Tipperary)

The Premier County's corner-forward's two stoppage time points snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
