This Sunday will see Cavan bid to secure their first win over Tyrone in the Ulster senior football championship since 1983.
Terry Hyland's side make the short trip to Clones this weekend looking to spring an upset at the provincial semi-final stage against the Red Hands - a side which the Breffni County haven't been able to turn over in the championship for 33 years.
Back then Breffni Park was the venue as the hosts conquered a Tyrone side led by All Star forward Frank McGuigan on a 0-11 to 0-10 score-line to advance into an Ulster semi-final meeting with Fermanagh, which they comfortably won, before losing out in the decider to Derry (1-14 to 1-11).
Since that time the O'Neill County have held the upper hand between these two counties, with their last championship encounter ending in embarrassment for Cavan in 2005, as Mickey Harte's men inflicted a 3-19 to 0-7 hammering in an Ulster semi-final replay at Clones before going on to collect their second Sam Maguire Cup that September.
Last month's Division Two league final produced a much tighter affair at Croke Park, albeit with a similar outcome (Tyrone 1-17 Cavan 0-15), and after each scored convincing wins in their provincial openers, the general feeling around this last four clash is that another close contest is in store.
