Joe Brolly isn't backing down on his attack on Kieran McGeeney, calling the reaction to it as 'hysterical', and lambasting Armagh for making a formal complaint to RTE.

On the Sunday Game Live Brolly claimed that McGeeney 'didn't have a clue' as a manager and this sparked a huge reaction. Paul Grimley led the way at hitting out at the criticism of the Orchard County boss, describing the analysis of McGeeney as 'poisonous' and 'a cowardly thing to do'.

In Thursday's edition of Gaelic Life, Brolly in his weekly column shows no signs of remorse: "The hysterical reaction from a few people to the discussion in the RTE studio on Sunday is a smokescreen. Kieran McGeeney's managerial performance is a matter of public record.

"'Poisonous and personal' said Paul Grimley, before accusing me of using my kidney donation and charity work as a defence against criticism. The man is an irony free zone. There was nothing poisonous or personal about what I said."

Brolly also revealed that RTE has received a formal complaint from Armagh County Board and he is scathing of their actions: "The Armagh County Board have made a complaint to RTE. Spineless isn't the word."
