PJ Banville will return to championship action for Wexford in tomorrow's Leinster SFC opener against Kildare at Croke Park.

The Horeswood forward took a year out from playing with his native county to line out for New York but rejoined the panel for this season along with midfielder Daithi Waters, who opted to concentrate solely on hurling in 2015.

Manager David Power has handed a championship debut to U21 star Donal Shanley at right corner-forward, while team-captain Brian Malone leads an all-Shelmaliers half-back line.

The experienced Anthony Masterson is chosen between the posts as last year's regular netminder Shane Roche now features as an outfield substitute.

Wexford (SFC v Kildare): Anthony Masterson; Joey Wadding, Jim Rossiter, Michael Furlong; Simon Donohoe, Brian Malone, Eoghan Nolan; Colm Kehoe, Daithi Waters; Kevin O'Grady, PJ Banville, Ben Brosnan; Donal Shanley, Ciaran Lyng, John Tubritt.

Subs: Philip Murphy, Kieran Butler, Shane Roche, Adrian Flynn, Rob Tierney, Tiernan Rossiter, Sean Ryan, Syl Byrne, Paraic O'Keefe, Niall Hughes, Robbie Vallejo.

Extended Panel: Michael O'Regan, Naomhan Rossiter, Glen Malone, Shane Doyle.
