Offaly manager Eamonn Kelly has reacted to the 14-point defeat to Westmeath by making four changes for the Leinster SHC round-robin second round test against Carlow at O'Connor Park tomorrow.

The Faithful County got their provincial campaign off to the worst possible start on Sunday when they were hammered in Mullingar leaving them under immense pressure for this weekend's clash in Tullamore.

Dermot Shortt (full-back), David King (left half-back), Sean Cleary (midfield) and Cillian Kiely (left half-forward) are all called up with James Mulrooney, Ben Conneely, Dan Kelleher and Sean Ryan the quartet to drop out.

Ryan joins Conor Doughan on the injury list after he suffered a concussion in the second-half of the hefty 2-22 to 1-11 opening round loss last weekend.

Offaly (SHC v Carlow): James Dempsey; Paddy Rigney, Dermot Shortt, Chris McDonald; Dermot Mooney, Colin Egan, David King; Pat Camon, Sean Cleary; Shane Kinsella, Joe Bergin, Cillian Kiely; Paddy Murphy, Shane Dooley, Kevin Connolly.

Subs: Oisin Mahon, James Mulrooney, Dan Kelleher, Ben Conneely, Jason Sampson, Gerry Spollen, Padraig Guinan, Niall Wynne, Sean Gardiner, Liam Langton, Adrian Cleary.
