Waterford manager Derek McGrath has stressed that there is no animosity between himself and his Clare counterpart Davy Fitzgerald.

The two managers clashed on the sideline in the heat of battle in last Sunday's NHL Division One final that ended in a draw after extra time.

The exchange of words just proved the passion and determination that both managers expressed during the game; proving neither side wanted to lose.

"Everything is grand. There is no fear. It makes everything more interesting when it's very obvious that the two teams want to win the match," said McGrath.

"It put an end to any outside perception that the two teams didn't want to win the league. There was no major disagreement and we shook hands at the end of it."
