Clare defender Pat O'Connor acknowledges that they are far from the finished article ahead of Sunday's NHL final replay.

The Banner and Waterford go head to head for the second time in a week after they played out an exciting draw last weekend.

Extra time couldn't even separate the sides and O'Connor stressed to the Clare Champion that both teams were guilty of mistakes.

"We would not have been overly pleased with our performance. It was a very soft start but it opened up, as it tends to do in extra time," said O'Connor.

"We were revelling at the fact of getting two cracks at Waterford. They are a tricky team to play; they don't play like anyone else. Sunday is another dress rehearsal for June 5th. It's a lot better than a loss."
