Mickey Conroy is one of a number of players who have been omitted from Mayo's championship panel.

The Irish Independent is reporting that the long-serving Davitt's forward - who has had limited game-time since suffering a shoulder injury on the eve of last year's All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Dublin - has been released from the panel along with Mark Ronaldson, Mickey Sweeney, Shane McHale, Danny Kirby, Neil Kirby, Eoghan O'Reilly, Donie Newcombe and Ger McDonagh.

Manager Stephen Rochford is expected to add a number of Mayo's All-Ireland U21 winners to his squad ahead of the county's first Connacht SFC defence against London in Ruislip on May 29.
