Injury concerns mount for Galway

April 29, 2016

Kilkenny's Eoin Larkin tackles Padraig Mannion of Galway.

Galway hurlers' injury list extended following last weekend's club senior hurling championship matches.

Even before a ball was thrown in, Joe Canning, David Burke and Fergal Moore were ruled out of their club's games through injury.

The round of championship games took its toll on the Michael Donohoe's squad as David Collins, Cyril Donnellan, Padraig Mannion and Matthew Keating were all forced off through injury in their respective matches.

Goalkeeper James Skehill and Iarla Tannion also picked up knocks, but they are reported to be ok for this weekend's games.

Collins suffered a hamstring injury and will be out for a few weeks, while Donnellan broke his finger and is set to miss a similar amount of time.

Mannion has an ankle ligament injury, while Turloughmore's Keating suffered a broken foot.

Galway play the second placed team in the Leinster SHC round robin series in June.
