"It's a final, it's Croke Park, it's the place to play quality football"

Tyrone finished with two points to spare over Cavan when they last met but Mickey Harte doesn't believe that result will have any bearing on this weekend's Allianz FL Division 2 decider.

The Healy Park scoreboard read Tyrone 0-10, Cavan 0-8 when the final whistle was sounded in their round 1 fixture but, speaking at the Allianz football finals preview in Croke Park today, the Red Hand boss remarked: "It's going to be different any way, it's a final, it's Croke Park, it's the place to play quality football.

"I think the 31st of January our last game was and you can imagine the conditions at that time of year.

"The conditions have changed, both teams have progressed since that time and I think it will be a very good game of football."

The long-serving Harte gave an injury update on his squad ahead of the all-Ulster clash.

"Darren McCurry's injury probably isn't as bad as we thought at first but he still hasn't trained fully with the team since.

"Niall Morgan's hand is broken so obviously he won't be playing in this game and it will be hard pushed if he'll even be considered for the championship at this stage.

"Other than that there are long term injuries that are there, Ronan McNabb did his cruciate last year,

"Peter Harte injured his shoulder in the first minute against Armagh. We're still concerned about him in particular but we're hopeful he might be able to play some part on Sunday."
