Seamus Scanlon has been impressed by the fitness of Kerry's veterans so far in 2016.
All three of the Kingdom's goalscorers in Sunday's league semi-final win over Roscommon are in the twilight of their careers. Colm Cooper is 33, Donnchadh Walsh 32 and Darran O'Sullivan 29.
Marc O Se and Aidan O'Mahony will turn 36 this year, while Kieran Donaghy is 33 and Bryan Sheehan 30.
"They're in great shape. As the years get on, they know how to mind themselves better," their former team-mate notes in The Irish Examiner.
"They also seem to be enjoying it more too because for the likes of Aidan and Marc they're getting closer to the end. They're savouring it.
"They're taking such a professional approach to it. Everything is done like clockwork by the older fellas. They know how their bodies work and train accordingly. When you hit the 30 mark you're minding your body more and more and they've that balance right between training and rest."
