Daniel "loving every second of the dual role"

Down's Damien Turley with Fermanagh's Daniel Teague

Fermanagh's Daniel Teague togged out against Tyrone in the national football league last Sunday; this weekend he'll face the Red Hands in the national hurling league.

The Maguiresbridge clubman marked his senior intercounty football debut with a late point as the Ernemen claimed a crucial draw against Mickey Harte's team at Enniskillen; on Saturday, he'll be on the Fermanagh XV that does battle with Tyrone in an equally critical Division 3A promotion play-off:

"I was delighted to get my first start at the weekend for the footballers and knocking over a late point was a fantastic feeling. I am looking forward to the Tyrone match now on Saturday and we have been training hard since the Longford game. I am loving every second of the dual role and both management teams have been great to me," he told the official Fermanagh GAA website.

"It can be tough enough sometimes with work and other commitments but sure I love doing it and to be honest it's all I know. I will just have to keep the stick in my hand as much as I can and hopefully I can have great seasons with the Fermanagh footballers and hurlers."
