The decision to move Kildare's Leinster SFC clash against Wexford on May 29th has angered the Lilywhites.

According to Kildare manager Cian O'Neill, they were never consulted over the move which sees the game now being played at Croke Park a week earlier on Sunday, May 21st.

The reason for the move is to facilitate the hosting of two Bruce Springsteen concerts at Croke Park on the weekend of May 29th.

O'Neill stressed to the Kildare Nationalist that it was disrespectful to them over not being consulted about the change.

"First and foremost, it's very disappointing because there was absolutely zero consultation no matter what anyone says, I certainly was never consulted about would we have an issue with it," said O'Neill.

"I'm hugely disappointed because the first thing I did when I got the job was to set about planning our season, right up to the All-Ireland final. Obviously that is ambitious but if the plan is there you can always work backwards as opposed to having no plan."
