The Wexford hurlers are enduring something of an injury crisis ahead of their NHL Division 1B clash against Limerick on Saturday evening.

The Model County will travel to Limerick without a number of key players as their treatment room is full to capacity at the moment.

Sitting out this weekend will be the likes of Conor McDonald (broken thumb), Paul Morris (hamstring), Diarmuid O'Keeffe (concussion) and Shane Tomkins (calf muscle).

However, the loss of these four has been eased by the fact that Jack Guiney, Padraig Foley, Eoin Conroy and Jack O'Connor will return after their college commitments.

Ian Byrne and Podge Doran are on the comeback trail from injury, but it remains to be seen if they will be fit to start against Limerick.

Wexford need a good start to the campaign as after the Limerick game, Clare are the opponents the following week.
