Galway manager Kevin Walsh has urged his players to continue their winning ways.

The Tribesmen are unbeaten in competitive matches so far this year culminating in last weekend's league opener against Laois.

Walsh's charges have done this with a relatively young squad and he is delighted with the way some of the players have adapted to inter-county football.

However, they face arguably their toughest test to date this Sunday when Tyrone come to Pearse Stadium.

"All the wins in the FBD league were a tonic, but we've had tonics before and then flopped. It was important that the lads are learning, where to position themselves, where to stand, playing in a system and really wanting it. I think the lads showed that they wanted it," said Walsh.

He added: "There is an awful lot of work to do. We are undefeated in our games so far, but this is good. The young lads that started will be happy enough with how it (Laois game) went, we have something to build on."
