Dromard GAA have confirmed that they will be appealing the €2,000 fine handed down to them by Central Hearings Committee for allowing Jamie Carragher to host a summer camp on their grounds.
The CHC have cited the Longford club for breaking Rule 5.1, which states: "All property including grounds, clubhouses, halls, dressing-rooms and handball alleys owned or controlled by units of the Association shall be used only for the purpose of, or in connection with, the playing of games controlled by the Association."
The camp, which was organised by UCL Harps FC from Gowna in Co Cavan, was attended by the former Liverpool and England defender last August.
Dromard revealed last night that they would be appealing to the Central Appeals Committee via the club's Twitter account.
