Kearns wary of Clare challenge

An in-form Clare side will pose a major threat to Tipperary in Sunday's Division 3 clash according to Tipp manager Liam Kearns.

The Banner opened their campaign last weekend with a resounding win over Sligo, while only last month, they defeated Tipp in the McGrath Cup.

Kearns' charges could only manage a draw against Limerick in their opening game and they could do with getting more points on the board before the two-week break coming up.

The Tipp manager knows that Clare will arrive at Sean Treacy Park in a confident mood and he told the Clare Champion that it would be a tough battle.

Kearns said: "Clare had a big win by seven points. So, Clare are in good form and going well. We have got to go out and produce again on Sunday. We are playing Clare and they are big and strong."
