Tom Clancy says he would be in safe hands with the Cork football medical team if he were to suffer a suspected concussion.

Rebel doctor, Dr Con Murphy acted quickly to remove Clancy's team-mate Eoin Cadogan from the field of play following his collision with Mayo's Lee Keegan in Pairc Ui Rinn last Sunday.

"We have a great medical team and they're always looking out what's best for the player," Clancy remarked to The Examiner.

"If it ever did happen to me, God forbid, I'd be very happy with those around me.

"Our medical team know us best and obviously they are very qualified people. They're experts and they've never put me wrong. I would pretty much put my life in their hands."
