Roscommon have rung the changes ahead of the opening round of the FL Division 1 against Monaghan on Sunday.

Under the guidance of joint-managers Kevin McStay and Fergal O'Donnell, the Rossies make no less than seven changes to the side that just fell short to Galway in the FBD League final last week.

David Murray, who returns from college duty with NUIG, Darren O'Malley, Sean McDermott, Niall McInerney, Ian Kilbride, Fintan Cregg and Cathal Cregg all come in.

Geoffrey Claffey, Tom Featherston, Brian Murtagh, Ronan Daly, Scott Oates, Kieran Kilcline and Cathal McHugh are the players to make way.

Last year's Division 2 winners have a significant number of injuries with Donie Shine, Niall Daly, Niall Carty, Diarmuid Murtagh, Kevin Higgins and Ciaran Cafferky among those sidelined.
