Mickey Harte was a happy man after Tyrone completed an historic five-in-a-row of Dr McKenna Cup wins last night.
Despite having two players sent off, the Red Hands scored two late points to force extra-time with Derry and kicked on from there to win a titanic contest on a 1-22 to 1-17 scoreline.
"You would need a month's training to deal with that kind of pressure and intensity," the Tyrone manager suggested.
"Some people disrespect the McKenna Cup but we never did that. It always brings teams on. We like to win as many as we can so we have great respect for the McKenna Cup.
The rest of the season will determine how good that was."
Derry assistant manager Tony Scullion expects the game to also stand to the Oak Leafers, despite Enda Lynn suffering a suspected broken ankle and Brendan Rogers receiving a nasty facial injury.
"All over Ireland people would come to see Tyrone and Derry play and it's life and death. When it comes to Derry and Tyrone, that makes football," the 1993 All-Ireland winning corner back said.
