Dual mandate for Dooley and O'Connor

Dual stars Shane Dooley and Joe O'Connor are facing a hectic season after being named in Offaly's senior football panel.

Manager Pat Flanagan has included the pair - who both started the hurlers' Walsh Cup victory over Kilkenny last Sunday - in his 35-man squad, which also features the returning duo of Sean Pender (Edenderry) and Joe Maher (Ferbane).

Gone from last year's panel are injured captain Paul McConway, Rhode pair Paul McPadden and Padraic Sullivan, Niall Geraghty of Durrow, Tullamore's Declan Hogan, John Ledwith of Clara and Edenderry's Mark Young.
