Limerick hurling manager TJ Ryan has made eight changes to his side for Sunday's Munster Senior Hurling League encounter with Waterford.

Last year's U21 centre back Barry O'Connell is one of five debutants named by Ryan, with Richie English, Pat Ryan, Cian Lynch and Darragh O'Donovan all coming in for the clash with the Deise men at the WIT grounds.

Elsewhere, Barry Hennessy will take the number one jersey instead of team captain Nickie Quaid, while Tom Condon makes his first bow for the new season at corner-back.

Seamus Hickey continues at left half-back and Declan Hannon leads the attack from full-forward.
