The Galway hurlers jetted out from Shannon Airport this morning for Sunday's AIG Fenway Classic against Dublin in Boston.

The trip comes in the same week as Anthony Cunningham was forced to step down as manager in the wake of a player heave against him. In the absence of a manager, Damien Coleman, Malachy Hanley and kitman James 'Tex' Callaghan have taken temporary charge of the team.

Missing from the travelling party are players from Craughwell and Sarsfields, who meet in Sunday's replayed Galway SHC final at Pearse Stadium.
