Closing date for Sports Book of the Year voting nears

Three recently-released GAA autobiographies have been nominated for the Bord Gáis Energy Sports Book of the Year award.

They are Henry Shefflin - The Autobiography, Until Victory Always, a memoir by Jim McGuinness and The White Heat: My Autobiography by former Kerry footballer Tomás Ó Sé.

Also shortlisted are Ireland soccer goalkeeper Packie Bonner's The Last Line, Peter Stringer's autobiography Pulling The Strings and Sean McGoldricks's story of Irish Olympic boxing, Punching Above Their Weight.

Voting is open to the public, closing midnight November 19 and votes can be cast at IrishBookAwards.ie.

The winner is set to be announced at the annual Awards Dinner on November 25.
