Unbelievable year for Brennan

October 13, 2015

Trillick's Rory Brennan admits that 2015 has been an unbelievable year.

Brennan won an All-Ireland U21 title with Tyrone before being called into the Red Hands senior squad that embarked on a dream run to the All-Ireland semi-finals. To cap it all, he captured a county SFC medal with his club last Sunday.

Speaking to The Irish News after the stunning county final victory over Killyclogher at Omagh, Brennan said: "It's been unbelievable. It's difficult to put into words. It's been a good year from the start.

"We're just a band of brothers and we're so happy that we were able to do it together. We really put the shoulder to the wheel this year and came out on top.

"The boys got together after the defeat in the county final last year. We were a bit heartbroken after that and we said that Trillick deserved to be back in Division One and that we could challenge for the league, to be in the top four in the league, and that we could challenge for the championship.

"And we put our words into motion and got the thing going well this year."
