Bernard Brogan has joined the Ireland International Rules squad.

Manager Joe Kernan says the 2015 Footballer of the Year nominee has come on board but adds that his preparations are being disrupted by injuries and non-availability of players due to club commitments:

"Bernard is in. There's a few boys I'd like to have in but there's a few injury problems. Ciaran Kilkenny had a club match," the Armagh man told The Irish Daily Star.

"There are a lot of injuries and the club championship has taken a lot away, so they don't get in [to train] regularly. We're in Croke Park for the next three weeks and hopefully we'll get the numbers over 40 so we can rotate during the matches.

"That's a very important part of the game, to have everybody in place and doing the right job."

This year's single Test will be staged in GAA HQ on Saturday, September 21st.
