Eamonn Fitzmaurice is hopeful that the majority of Kerry's senior players will give it a lash again in 2016.

Kerry County Board confirmed yesterday that Fitzmaurice and his management team of Mikey Sheehy, Diarmuid Murphy and Cian O'Neill will stay on for another season and the first task facing the Kingdom boss is to keep his Munster championship winning squad together.

Even though Paul Galvin, Marc O Se and Aidan O'Mahony are all 35, while Kieran Donaghy is 33, the Lixnaw man isn't expecting an exodus:

"Physically, there's no reason that they can't continue," he told the Irish Examiner. "They're all in tremendous shape. It's whether, with regard to where they're at in their lives and lifestyles, if they're willing to make the sacrifices and if that hunger is there.

"Often times losing an All-Ireland final is the thing that gives that hunger a huge edge again. I would hope that most of them would stay on."
