Dublin midfielder Denis Bastick has plenty to contend with in the build-up to the All-Ireland final after thieves broke into his home.
The criminals made off with the Dubs veteran's Audi A4 and personal belongings, including his seven-month-old son's buggy, but the Templeogue Synge Street clubman managed to put the incident to the back of his mind as he helped the Metropolitans collect their 25th national SFC crown.
"I woke up last Monday morning and the car was stolen from the driveway - the Monday before the final!" he reveals in The Irish Examiner. "Two guys fished the keys out through the letter box and took off with the car, baby's buggy and cash from the tickets from the All-Ireland final.
"So I was dealing with that for the early parts of the week. The Gardaí were great and they actually ended up getting word that the car was in Celbridge with new plates on it, ready to be sold and moved on. Thankfully I got it back at the end of the week. There was a small bit of damage but nothing major.
"It worked both ways, there was filling out insurance claim forms and talking to people on the phone, stuff that took my mind off the game itself. But it was tough going at the same time. It upsets things at home, you feel invaded and stuff like that but the Gardaí were great and we have the car back with only a small bit of damage."
