Watch: Daughter's touching tribute to tragic Dublin fan

September 17, 2015

The 'Bluebird Dublin van', a big attraction on Dublin GAA match days.

An avid Dublin football supporter who died tragically in June has been remembered in a moving tribute.

Nicole Harris, daughter of Alan Harris, has posted a picture montage on YouTube ahead of the Dubs' All-Ireland final showdown with Kerry on Sunday.

Alan and his brother Steve, who were cousins of Irish soccer captain Robbie Keane, died after they were overcome by fumes while inspecting underground pipes in the Portmarnock area of north Dublin. Alan was well-known for his 'Bluebird Dublin van', which was regularly spotted at GAA grounds around the country.

The Crumlin brothers, along with the victims of the Berkeley disaster, were remembered when Dublin and Kildare supporters rose from their seats for a minute's applause during the Leinster SFC semi-final.

Nicole wrote: "Sadly I lost my Dad and his brother to a tragic accident in June but we will wear the blue and I'm sure he will be there on the day."
