Mickey Harte has been reappointed as the Tyrone senior football manager for a two year term.

There had been intense speculation over his future in recent weeks but last night Red Hand officials announced that the three-time All-Ireland winning manager will remain at the helm until 2017.

Last week Harte met a three-person delegation from the county board and outlined his plans to build on this year's run to the last four of the Sam Maguire Cup race.

Tyrone club delegates voted 52-3 in favour of extending the Erriga Ciaran clubman's tenure to a remarkable 15 years.

And contrary to earlier reports, Feargal Logan will continue as Under 21 manager along with selectors Brian Dooher and Peter Canavan.

Like Harte, they have been returned for two years.
