While the GAA's TV deal with Sky Sports continues to divide opinion, there can be no denying it has opened up Gaelic football and hurling to a whole new audience.
Dutch soccer legend Ruud Gullit watched the Dublin v Mayo All-Ireland SFC semi-final yesterday in the company of former Irish soccer international Kevin Kilbane. The two were working as pundits for BBC's Match of the Day 2, but it didn't stop them from tuning into the dramatic action from Croke Park.
Match of the Day 2 presenter Mark Chapman revealed on Twitter how Kilbane, who's a proud son of Mayo, had been trying to explain the rules of the game to the former Ballon d'Or winner...
Currently @kdkilbane77 is trying to explain the rules of Gaelic football to Ruud Gullit in #motd2 office. Never thought I'd see that.
