Tipp's bouncebackability delights Kennedy

August 30, 2015

Jack Kennedy hailed the Tipperary minor footballers' powers-of-recovery after they beat Kildare at Croke Park today to join their hurling counterparts in the All-Ireland final.

Tipp, who have eight players involved with both squads, will have the chance to avenge their Munster final defeat to Kerry when they renew their rivalry on September 20.

"It's unbelievable. We've bounced back so well after the disappointment of losing the Munster final. We really regrouped and are delighted to get the win," the man of the match told TG4.

Kennedy, who scored 0-4 from midfield, was full of praise for his defence after they held firm following wing back Emmett Moloney's dismissal at the start of the last quarter.

"It was always going to be tough with a man down, but we just stayed working. The half back line was immense I thought, and the lads inside in the full back line, and we just hung on thankfully."
