Wexford under-21 manager JJ Doyle is confident that a repeat of the All-Ireland semi-final of two years ago will not occur this weekend.

On that occasion, Antrim caused a huge surprise by defeating Wexford in the All-Ireland under-21 hurling semi-final.

The Model County still have a few players that were involved that day, involved in this year's squad as they prepare to meet the Ulster side at the same stage in this year's championship at Semple Stadium on Saturday.

"This is all about as much in the head as in the body but I'm confident that Wexford are ready and can deliver," Doyle told the Wexford People.

"We may need to up our game again on Saturday, so the opening minutes will be vital. We will need not to concede early goals like in our last meeting, we need to take the initiative from the opening ten minutes, setting out our own stall."
