Sean Cavanagh felt Tyrone were good value for their All-Ireland SFC quarter-final victory over Monaghan.

The Red Hands pulled out all the stops to defeat their neighbours by four points at Croke Park on Saturday and inspirational former Footballer of the Year Cavanagh was pleased with their display:

"It's a feeling that I haven't felt in a right few years at this stage," he enthuses in The Irish News. "In 2013, we scraped our way past Monaghan but we felt we were good value for this result.

"We probably pulled up a wee bit and probably slowed down in the last ten minutes thinking that we could maybe play the game out.

"Obviously, with the nine minutes of added time it meant we were retreating to prevent goals and we shipped a few points, but we're delighted to get into an All-Ireland semi-final."
