Clare defender Brendan Bugler has undergone surgery on a shoulder injury.

Local radio station Clare FM is reporting that the 2013 All-Ireland medallist and two-time All Star will miss his club Whitegate's county SHC second round clash with champions Cratloe at Broadford on Sunday evening.

Cratloe are without dual star Podge Collins, who suffered a season-ending cruciate ligament injury in their defeat to Ballyea in the first round at the end of May.
