Laois clubs have just two days to put forward nominations for the vacant county senior football manager's job.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, July 31st as the county board have begun the process of finding a replacement for Tomas O'Flatharta who stepped down in the wake of their All-Ireland SFC qualifier defeat to Antrim.

A specially arranged committee has been given the job of processing the nominations and putting forward a short list to the county board.

Laois chairman Gerry Kavanagh confirmed that some names have already been nominated, but he urged clubs to ensure that they had their say before the deadline.

Meanwhile, Kavanagh also stated that a review of senior hurling manager Seamus Plunkett's position will take place in the coming weeks, although speculation is rife that 'Cheddar' will stay on for another year at least.
