The funeral has taken place in Co. Meath of Lorna Carty, who was one of 38 people killed by a gunman in a Tunisian resort last week.

Ms Carty was one of three Irish people killed on the beach at Sousse yesterday week. The funerals of Larry and Martina Hayes from Athlone were held yesterday.

Ms Carty, whose family is immersed in Dunderry GAA and whose son Simon is a member of the Meath senior football panel, was laid to rest at Retaine Cemetery following funeral Mass at Robinstown Church.

Members of the Meath senior football, Dunderry intermediate football and Dunderry camogie teams formed a guard of honour as Ms Carty's remains arrived at the church.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny and President Michael D Higgins were represented by their aides de camp. Fr Noel Horneck led the Mass and gave the homily.
