O'Connor ratified as Kerry U21 manager

Former All-Ireland senior winning manager Jack O'Connor will take over the reigns of the county U21 footballers next year.

The appointment was confirmed at tonight's County Committee meeting with O'Connor handed a two year term in succesion to Darragh Ó Sé.

O'Connor managed Kerry to All-Ireland minor honours last year and is in charge of this year's minor side.

O'Connor was a selector on Kerry's 1995 All-Ireland U21FC win under Paidi O Se before taking over as manager and winning two further titles in '96 and '98.

In two terms as senior manager he brought Sam Maguire to Kerry on three occasions - 2004, '06 and '09.
