Alan O'Connor will make his first competitive start for Cork in two years in Sunday's Munster SFC semi-final against Clare at Páirc Uí Rinn.

The St Colum's clubman, who retired from intercounty football in 2013 but rejoined the Rebels squad near the end of this year's league campaign, will partner Kevin O'Driscoll at midfield.

Manager Brian Cuthbert has made six changes to the team that were beaten by Dublin (1-21 to 2-7) in the league final two months ago with O'Connor coming into the side along with Nemo Rangers newcomer Stephen Cronin, Brian O'Driscoll, Barry O'Driscoll, Paul Kerrigan and Donncha O'Connor.

Tomás Clancy, Noel Galvin and Fintan Goold drop to the bench while Eoin Cadogan, John O'Rourke and Jamie O'Sullivan miss out completely through injury and suspension.
