The Bryansford club in Co. Down is getting ready to host its GAA Open Legends exhibition football match later this month.

The game will take place at St. Patrick's Park, Newcastle on Monday week, May 25 at 7pm and has been organised to coincide with the awarding of the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open to the nearby Royal County Down Golf Club.

Down's Benny Coulter will captain an Ulster team which will feature other recently-retired stars such as his fellow county man Ambrose Rogers, Armagh's Steven McDonnell and Aaron Kernan, Fermanagh's Barry Owens and Kevin Cassidy of Donegal. Ulster's opponents will be a Rest of Ireland selection which will be captained by Dublin's Barry Cahill.

Down All-Ireland winners James McCartan and Sean O'Neill will manage the Ulster team, while former All-Ireland winning managers Sean Boylan (Meath) and John O'Mahony (Galway) will take charge of the Rest of Ireland side.

Admission is £5, with proceeds going to the Daisy Lodge Charity.
