Cork 1-12 aet

It was thrilling stuff in Tralee as Cormac Linnane's point two minutes from time handed All-Ireland champions Kerrry a place in this year's Munster final in front of 4,438 spectators.

Backed by the breeze Kerry led 0-9 to 0-7 at the interval. Cork grabbed the first point through Sean McEvoy before Garry Murphy and Cormac Linnane responded for the home side.

Stephen Sherlock levelled the game but points from Ronan Buckley and Mark O'Connor had Kerry two to the good.

Daniel O'Duinnin was Kerry plenty of problems and his score, together with two from Sherlock saw Cork take the lead before Kerry responded in kind, with three points of their own from Gavin White, Sean O'Shea and Conor Geaney.

The sides swapped scores before Kerry goalkeeper Billy Courtney put his side 0-9 to 0-6 clear, as Sherlock grabbed his and Cork's latest point just before the half-time whistle.

Cork landed the first score of the second half through O'Duinnin before Geaney and Linnane put the Kingdom 0-11 to 0-8 ahead. The second of those points came in the 42nd minute and would be the last score Kerry managed in normal time.

O'Duinnin and Leonard narrowed the gap to one and with eight minutes remaining Shane Kingston grabbed the equaliser. Despite both sides having chances the game went to extra time.

Sean O'Shea restored Kerry's lead before Cathal O'Rourke equalised for Cork.

It was then that the Kingdom made their move as three unanswered points gave them a 0-15 to 0-12 interval lead in extra time with the points coming from Graham O'Sullivan and Geaney (2).

There were only two scores in the second period and they were both dramatic. O'Dunnin grabbed the only goal of the game to tie the match with four minute remaining before Cormac Linnane became the hero with the winning point two minutes later.
