Kilkenny have received a boost ahead of the Leinster SHC with Conor Fogarty back in action over the weekend.
A star of last year's All-Ireland final replay victory over Tipperary, Fogarty broke a bone in his leg during the HL Division 1 opener against Cork.
The Irish Independent reports he played the full 60 minutes for Erin's Own (Castlecomer) in their second round league clash against Clara.
Richie Power and Eoin Larkin are also on the comeback trail and Power looked sharp in Carrickshock's game against James Stephens.
His brother John missed the match due to an infection in a leg injury but is expected to be fit for the Cats' provincial opener next month.
