Colm Cooper's Dr Crokes defeated James O'Donoghue's Legion in today's Kerry club championship quarter-final.
Footballer of the Year O'Donoghue, who returned after a five-month injury layoff in Legion's win over Kerins O'Rahilly's last weekend, scored a first half goal to give his side a slender 1-6 to 0-8 interval lead.
Crokes overturned the deficit on the restart, only for Legion to level through a pair of Conor Keane frees at the start of the final quarter. But two late Cooper frees sealed a 0-17 to 1-10 win for Crokes as Legion finished the game with 14 men following the dismissal of county man Jonathan Lyne.
