Limerick manager John Brudair admits that the departure of defender Paudie Browne from the squad has left a huge void in the squad.

Browne emigrated to Dubai last week and the experienced defender will be a massive loss to the Limerick squad as they continue their preparations for the Munster SFC.

Limerick play Clare on May 23rd and Brudair states in the Limerick Leader that losing their influential centre back was a big setback.

"He is a huge loss in terms of his overall experience and the fact that he was playing superb football for us in the league," said Brudair.

"It takes away a central player for us and reduces our defensive options and competition in that area. He is a great footballer, but also a great character that is light hearted around the place and then serious once the game starts so he will be very much missed."
